Pacers End Season With Loss

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers’ season ended with a loss as the blue-and-gold fell to the playoff-bound Washington Wizards 98-95.
Antawn Jamison led the Wizards with 19 points and eleven rebounds as Washington clinched the number-seven seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and a first-round matchup with Cleveland with the win.
Mike Dunleavy led the shorthanded Pacers with 17 points as Indiana played without Jermaine O'Neal, Jeff Foster and Jamaal Tinsley.
Indiana kept the game close throughout, with Dunleavy tying the game on a bank shot with 41 seconds. Antonio Daniels gave the Wizards the lead for good when he hit one of two free throws with 30 seconds remaining to make it 96-95 Washington.
Ike Diogu had a chance to give Indiana the lead, but missed a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left. Darius Songaila hit two free throws with 17 seconds remaining to make it 98-95 with 17 seconds left.
The Pacers never got a chance at a game-tying three-point attempt as Deshawn Stevenson intercepted a Danny Granger pass and the wizards ran out the clock.
The Pacers end the season with a four-game losing streak to finish at 35-and-47.
