Keeling Leaving Hoosiers
(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Freshman Xavier Keeling will transfer from the Indiana University basketball program at the end of the current semester.
The six-foot-six forward averaged eight minutes per game, appearing in 22 contests for Kelvin Sampson's club this past season. Sampson says that Keeling wanted to play closer to his home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Keeling was recruited by former Indiana coach Mike Davis, who currently is the head coach at Alabama-Birmingham.
Keeling's departure opens a scholarship for six-foot-eight, 270-pound junior college transfer Deandre Thomas, who has orally committed to play for the Hoosiers.
