Pacers Continue To Struggle

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers’ struggles continued Tuesday night as the blue-and-gold lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-94.
Lebron James led the Cavaliers with 26 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 23 as Cleveland clinched a playoff berth.
Jermaine O'Neal had another big night, leading Indiana with 32 points despite suffering an injury to his left ankle when he stepped on another player's foot. O'Neal had already been hampered by soreness in his left knee.
Danny Granger chipped in with 22 points and Jamaal Tinsley added 15 points and twelve assists, but it was not enough to prevent the Pacers from their 15th loss in 17 games. It also closed out a three-game homestand in which Indiana won the opener over Miami before losing the final two.
The Pacers are now a full game behind New Jersey for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers face the Nets this evening at the Meadowlands. New Jersey has won the first two meetings with the Pacers this season.
Indiana needs a win tonight and another at home on April 15 to prevent the Nets from clinching the tie-breaker.
Following tonight's game, it's on to Orlando for the Pacers. Indiana trails the Magic by a game and-a-half for seventh place in the East.
