Oden One Of Five Up For Wooden Award

(UNDATED) - In basketball news, Ohio State freshman Greg Oden is one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden Award as college basketball’s top player.
Oden, who led Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis to three-consecutive class four-a boys basketball championships, has averaged 15.4 points and 9.5 rebounds despite being hampered by a wrist injury.
He will be joined in Los Angeles for the April 7th award ceremony by Texas freshman Kevin Durant, North Carolina sophomore Tyler Hansbrough, Texas A&M senior Acie Law IV and Wisconsin senior Alando Tucker.
