Indy 500 Gets Its First Two Entrants

(INDIANAPOLIS)- Dreyer and Reinbold Racing have entered cars for former champion Buddy Rice and teammate Sarah Fisher, who drove for the team in two races late last season at Kentucky and Chicagoland Speedways.
Dreyer and Reinbold is expanding to two drivers this season and Fisher earned a full-time ride.
Fisher began driving in the Indycar series in 1999 and won the pole at Kentucky in 2002, the first woman to win a pole in a major auto racing series. Rice won the 2004 Indy 500 while driving for Rahal Letterman Racing. He left Rahal Letterman and signed with Dreyer and Reinbold this season.
The Indy Racing League is commemorating A.J. Foyt for 50 years in Indy-car racing. The league will display a timeline at each of it's U.S. tracks this season. The display will include photos and memorabilia from Foyt's personal collection. The 72-year-old indy car owner retired as a driver in 1992. Foyt started a record 35 straight Indy 500's, winning four of them.
