Deon Willford Convicted Of Battery

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The first of three trials over last October’s strip club fight involving Pacers players was held Monday.
A guilty verdict was handed down. Twenty-three-year-old Deon Willford was convicted with battery and failing to stop after an injury accident. Police say Willford tried to run over then-Pacer Stephen Jackson with his car after a fight broke out.
Willford's defense attorney Martin Solomon argued that Willford was defending himself after Jackson fired a handgun. He said the judge failed to see it that way.
