Indianapolis To Formally Bid For Super Bowl XLV
Last updated on Wednesday, January 31, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson will join with Governor Mitch Daniels today to announce the city’s formal bid for the 2011 Super Bowl.
City officials have estimated it'll take $15- to 20-million in investment to host the event.
That would be offset by the economic impact of the game, which Miami officials estimate near half a billion dollars for this year's contest.
