(UNDATED) - Peyton Manning has officially declined a spot in the Monday Night Football booth, according to multiple reports.

The former Colts QB has decided to pass on the opportunity to join Joe Tessitore in the booth and fill the hole left by Jason Witten as color commentator, as first reported by The Sporting News.

ESPN executives reportedly met with Manning in Denver in early March but never made a formal offer as they sensed he was disinterested in joining the broadcast booth.
