(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Minnesota Golden Gophers pulled an upset over No. 11 Purdue as they defeated the Boilermakers 73-69 on Tuesday night.

Minnesota junior guard Amir Coffey matched a career-high with 32 points. Teammate Jordan Murphy added 13 points and 14 rebounds as the Golden Gophers shot 43-percent from the field despite only hitting 4-of-14 from the 3-point line.

Carsen Edwards led Purdue with 22 points while Ryan Cline added 19 and said Minnesota took advantage of Purdue's poor scoring attempts.

"With their transition offense, our bad shots are like turnovers," Cline said, "and they're obviously producing points and they're getting to the rim."

The loss snapped Purdue's five-game winning streak and they'll wrap up the regular season on Saturday when they visit Northwestern.
