Colts Earn First Win With 21-9 Victory Over Redskins

Last updated on Monday, September 17, 2018

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Andrew Luck fought off some mistakes and was efficient when it counted as the Indianapolis Colts got their first win of the season with a 21-9 victory over the Washington Redskins.

Luck shook off two interceptions and led a methodical 13-play, 75-yard drive that was capped off with his second touchdown pass of the day, a 3-yard pass to T.Y. Hilton to salt the game away.

"When we needed to, we put a drive together and got points," Luck said. "On the longer drive where we ended up with a touchdown, everybody, we all just did our jobs and we did them well."

Luck finished 21-of-31 for 179 yards and had two touchdown passes, which extended his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown pass to 25, which is the longest active streak in the NFL.

It'll be a reunion of sorts in their next game as head coach Frank Reich will get the Colts ready to play his former team, who also happen to be the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
