Luck Throws Football At Colts Minicamp

Last updated on Wednesday, June 13, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - For the first time since October 2017 Andrew Luck threw a football with an audience.

Luck reportedly threw around 10 passes, mostly to retired wide receiver Reggie Wayne, at roughly 10 yards each.

Luck threw college-size footballs but revealed he has actually thrown NFL-regulation size footballs for two weeks.

"The reason I'm using a little less smaller football is it puts less stress," he said after the Colts' minicamp practice. "My goal is to throw as much as I need to in a game week," he continued. "That's what I'm preparing for. That's why right now I'm throwing Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, to mimic a three-day practice week and a practice as Sunday game day."

When asked if he thinks he will be ready for Week 1, Luck didn't mince words.

"Absolutely. No knock on wood. I'll be playing. I believe it in my bones."
