Reggie Wayne Returns To Colts As Volunteer Coach

Last updated on Tuesday, May 1, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Reggie Wayne has returned to the Colts in a coaching capacity.

Wayne has joined the team as a volunteer coach to work out the wide receivers.

The former No. 87 was on the field Monday as the Colts kicked off the second phase of their offseason program and joins former teammate Robert Mathis, who is returning for his second season as a pass rushing consultant.

"I think he has that quality about him, that he can bring leadership and bring all his experience to the table--all his knowledge about route running and help bring the best out of these players," head coach Frank Reich said.

Wayne will remain close to the team later this season when the Colts induct him into the Ring of Honor in November.
