Last updated on Tuesday, May 1, 2018

(NEW ALBANY, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers landed top-five prospect Romeo Langford on Monday.

Langford was the nation's top unsigned senior and had narrowed his decision down to Indiana, Vanderbilt and Kansas and the local New Albany star chose to stay in his backyard.

Langford held his announcement at his New Albany High School and donned the crimson IU hat much to the delight of the massive crowd in attendance.

"I feel like I can showcase my game there," he said afterward.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is ranked No. 5 on ESPN's Top 100 class of 2018 and is the top shooting guard in the country. He is a McDonald's All-American and was just named Indiana Mr. Basketball this past weekend, averaging 35.5 points as a senior.
