Travis Wray Named Head Football Coach at Eastern Greene

Last updated on Tuesday, April 17, 2018

(EASTERN HEIGHTS) - Defensive coordinator Travis Wray has been named head coach for Eastern Green football.

Wray will replace Joey Paridaen who is taking a head coaching job at Evansville North.

Paridaen lead the Thunderbirds to their first first conference, sectional, regional and semistate titles appearances in 2017.

Wray was named head coach Monday after the school board voted 7-0 in favor of the move.

Wray has been coaching football since he graduated high school at Bloomington South in 2008. He became Paridaen's defensive coordinator in 2014 before heading back to North for two more seasons returning to Eastern Greene prior to the 2017 season.

Wray plans to keep the level of excitement high at Eastern Greene while assembling his coaching staff and with losing a large senior class including all-state quarterback Caleb Hamilton.
