Hornets Take Advantage Of Resting Pacers For 119-93 Win

Last updated on Wednesday, April 11, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers wrapped up their regular season with a 119-93 loss to the Charlotte Hornets in a game that saw the Blue and Gold rest three key starters.

Victor Oladipo, Thaddeus Young and Bojan Bogdanovich were all given the night off by head coach Nate McMillan as the team gets ready for the postseason.

"My message to them, it really shouldn't look any different as far as how we play even though we have a number of guys out of uniform," McMillan said. "We wanted to give some guys an opportunity to get some minutes. We were able to do that."

The Hornets, who have been eliminated from playoff contention for weeks, rolled with their regular starters and were led by Frank Kaminsky's 24 points off the bench.

The Pacers had three players score 13 points (Darren Collison, Glenn Robinson III and T.J. Leaf) while Domantas Sabonis had a 10 point and 10 rebound double-double.

The Pacers finish the season 48-34 and are comfortably in the fifth seed where they await to find out if they will face the Philadelphia 76ers or the Cleveland Cavaliers.
