Pacers Steal Game From Celtics In Boston

Last updated on Monday, March 12, 2018

(BOSTON, MA) - The Indiana Pacers won a thriller over the Boston Celtics 99-97 in a battle of two of the East’s top three teams.

Victor Oladipo scored a game-high 27 points but committed a dead ball offensive foul that gave Boston a last second chance to win it. Luckily, Terry Rozier's last second shot was off-balance and the Pacers held on for the victory.

Myles Turner added 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Celtics were left short-handed. Kyrie Irving exited the game with a sore knee while big man Al Horford was home sick and Jaylen Brown remained in concussion protocol.

It was a revenge game for the Pacers, who lost to the Celtics 112-111 back on December 18 when Rozier stole and dunked the ball with 1.5 seconds left.

"I like being on this side of it," Pacers coach Nate McMillan said.

The Pacers win put them 1.5 games up on Cleveland for the No. 3 seed in the East. They next visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
