(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Philadelphia Eagles are world champions as they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl 52 to win the franchise's first Super Bowl championship.

Eagles' quarterback Nick Foles earned MVP honors as he went toe-to-toe with Tom Brady and threw 373 yards and three touchdowns and even caught a touchdown pass as well. Philadelphia's running game was dominated by the two-headed monster of LeGarrette Blount and Jay Ajayi, who accounted for all but 17 of the Eagles' 164 rushing yards.

After New England took a one-point lead with more than 9 minutes remaining in the game the Eagles answered with a go-ahead Zach Ertz touchdown catch. On the next possession, Tom Brady was sacked and fumbled as Philadelphia recovered and tacked on a game sealing 46-yard field goal.

For the Patriots, Tom Brady continued to impress at his age as he threw for 505 yards and three touchdowns. Three Patriots wide receivers had over 100 yards receiving.
