Buckeyes Stop Boilermakers Winning Streak

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Ohio State Buckeyes put an end to the nation’s longest winning streak as they defeated No. 3 Purdue 64-63.

Keita Bates-Diop hit a putback with 2.8 seconds left to give the Buckeyes the go-ahead basket and eventual victory to end the Boilermakers' 19-game winning streak. Bates-Diop led No. 14 Ohio State with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Andre Wesson added 13 points.

For Purdue, Casen Edwards scored a game-high 28 point shwile Isaac Haas added 18. Vince Edwards had 11 points and nine rebounds but Dakota Mathias was the only other Boilermaker to put up any point as five players went without scoring a single point.

Purdue's unbelievable run started back on November 25 and they are currently 23-3 on the season. They next take on No. 4 Michigan State on Saturday.
