Pacers Outscored In The Fourth, Fall To Blazers

Last updated on Friday, January 19, 2018

(PORTLAND, OR) - A disastrous fourth quarter doomed the Pacers as they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 100-86 and saw their winning streak come to an end.

Indiana faced a six-point deficit heading into the final 12 minutes but poor shooting and an inability to slow down Damien Lillard proved to be too much as they were outscored 26-12 in the fourth quarter. Lillard led Portland with 26 points and eight assists while teammate Jusuf Nurkic added 19 points and a season-high 17 rebounds.

The Trail Blazers out-rebounded the Blue & Gold 57-46, a statistic that Nate McMillan referenced in his postgame interview.

"That's the hustle game you have to win. We have to give help to our bigs down in the paint. They outworked us, and won that game."

Victor Oladipo and Darren Collison each scored 23 points while Thaddeus Young had a 10 point and 14 rebound double-double.

The Pacers get right back to work tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers. Rookie Lonzo Ball is not expected to play as he is dealing with a knee injury. Pacers-Lakers tips-off at 10:30pm EST.
