Colts To Interview Josh McDaniels For Head Coach Position

Last updated on Wednesday, January 3, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts get first crack at one of the most coveted head coaching candidates as NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the team will interview New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels on Thursday.

McDaniels has also lined up interviews with both the Chicago Bears and New York Giants on Friday. McDaniels has served as Patriots OC and quarterbacks coach since 2012 and previously worked with the team from 2001-08 and has won five Super Bowls with New England.

Meanwhile, former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano may not be out of work for long as multiple reports say his former team, the Baltimore Ravens, are trying to lure him back to be their defensive coordinator. Pagano served as the team's secondary coach from 2008-10 and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2011 before becoming the Colts head coach in 2012.
