Carsen Edwards Earns Big Ten Honors, Boilermakers Remain At No. 3 Spot

Last updated on Tuesday, January 23, 2018

(CHICAGO, IL) - Purdue guard Carsen Edwards’ solid play last week earned him Big Ten Conference co-player of the week honors.

Edwards shares the award with Nebraska's James Palmer Jr.

In wins over Wisconsin and Iowa, Edwards averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 assists in both games and totaled 43 points, including 9-of-14 from 3-point range. Edwards is the second Boilermaker to earn player of the week honors as Isaac Haas earned the award for the week of December 4.

Meanwhile, the Boilermakers remain locked in at No. 3 on the Associated Press college basketball poll. Purdue trails Villanova and Virginia and is the only Indiana-based school to crack the list.
