(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers will turn to Elijah Sindelar as their starting quarterback after announcing that David Blough suffered a season-ending ankle injury.

Head coach Jeff Brohm announced Blough suffered a dislocated right ankle in Saturday's win over Illinois and that he would undergo surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be out for six months.

"When the medical staff got out there, they put the ankle back in and were able to make him a little more comfortable, but it's going to require surgery," Brohm said on Monday. "He will miss spring ball, but hopefull he will be back by the summer."
