Edgerrin James Named Pro Football Hall Of Fame Semifinalist

Last updated on Wednesday, November 22, 2017

(UNDATED) - Former Colts running back Edgerrin James was one of 27 semifinalists announced for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

James was a finalist last season but did not make the final cut.

James was a four-time Pro Bowler, is 11th all-time in rushing with 12,246 yards and racked up 15,610 total yards from scrimmage. James leads the Colts franchise in career rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, rushing yards per game average, rushing yards in a single season and most seasons with 1,000 rushing yards.

Among the rest of the semifinalists are six first-year eligible candidates: wide receiver Randy Moss, defensive lineman Richard Seymour, guard Steve Hutchinson, defensive back Ronde Barber and linebackers Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher.

The list will be cut to 15 finalists in January with the annual selection meeting taking place on February 3, the day before Super Bowl LII.
