TY Hilton Apologizes For Criticizing Colts' O-line Following Loss

Last updated on Tuesday, October 24, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) A day after the Colts’ blowout loss at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars and his critical comments towards the offensive line following the game, Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton walked back those comments.

"I would like to apologize to the team and the O-line. It was out of character, frustrated how the game went. At the end of the day, I have their back," he said surrounded by reporters. "I'm always against that and I go out and do it, so 100 percent I messed up. I'm sorry for that and I'm a leader and those guys look up to me and I stabbed them in the back, so for me I'm sorry about that."

Meanwhile, tackle Anthony Castonzo was asked about Hilton's comments and said he and the rest of the offensive line are used to criticism.

"Do we like the comments? No. But we recognize this is the time we need to ban together as a team and not separate."
