Adam Vinateri Named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week

Last updated on Thursday, October 12, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - For the 17th time in his illustrious career Colts kicker Adam Vinateri was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the most in league history.

Vinateri made both extra points and was 4-for-4 on field goals, including a 52-yarder in the first quarter and a 51-yarder in overtime to win the game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Meanwhile, the Colts are hoping to expand their training complex on the west side of Indianapolis, according to Chief Operating Officer Pete Ward. The team is hoping to expand the 32,000 square foot facility by overhauling multiple areas including the locker room, training room, equipment room and strength and conditioning area. They also are hoping to add an outdoor turf field and a partial natural field in addition to the two full-size all natural fields they have outdoors.

The Colts said they will foot the bill for the expansion but were tight-lipped about the cost. They will bring the proposal to a hearing at the Marion County Development Commission on October 26.
