Pacers Owner Herb Simon Not Suing Lakers Or NBA Over Paul George Tampering Incident

Last updated on Thursday, September 7, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Pacers owner Herb Simon issued a statement and dismissed a report that he was considering legal action against the Los Angeles Lakers for tampering with Paul George.

The report in question stated that Simon was upset with the NBA only fining the Lakers $500,000 for violating the league's anti-tampering rule.

"Contrary to a published report, I would like to emphatically state that neither I or the Indiana Pacers have ever considered any legal action toward the NBA or the Los Angeles Lakers regarding the recent decision and penalty concerning tampering charges," the statement read. "We agree with the NBA's findings and we want to put this issue behind us."
