(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Chuck Pagano announced Scott Tolzien will start in Sunday’s preseason opener against the Lions but did not mention how many plays or series he would get.
"You need practices and reps," he said of Tolzien getting the nod on Sunday. "You can't expect to walk out to LA and just play."
Pagano also noted that the offense was sloppy and that they didn't seem to play with a sense of urgency at times.
In other news, the Colts unveiled their unofficial depth chart as they are required by the league to do ahead of all games. Notably, the Colts have both Phillip Dorsett and Chester Rogers listed as the No. 3 wide receiver behind T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief. Meanwhile, first-round pick Malik Hooker appears as the No. 2 free safety behind Darius Butler.
