Colts' Erik Swoope Out After Knee Surgery

Last updated on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts will be without tight end Erik Swoope for a bit as he underwent knee surgery on Monday.

Chuck Pagano announced Swoope experienced swelling in his knee and arthroscopic surgery was needed. Swoope is listed as "week-to-week" and joins the growing list of injured players on the Colts roster.

The team is hoping to get the likes of Phillip Dorsett, Marlon Mack, Jon Bostic, Joe Haeg and Denzelle Good back at some point this week while Ryan Kelly and Johnathan Hankins remain sidelined.

Meanwhile, the Colts are reportedly going to have veteran center Jeremy Zuttah in for a visit later this week. Zuttah was just released by the 49ers but spent the last three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and was a Pro Bowler last season.
