Paul George Denied Shot At Signing $200M Deal

Last updated on Friday, May 19, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The future of Paul George in a Pacers uniform took an uncertain turn on Thursday as PG-13 did not make any of the NBA All-Teams selections.

If he had he would have qualified for the Designated Player Extension which is part of the new collective bargaining agreement that would have allowed the Pacers to offer George a five-year, $210 million contract which would be $75 million more than any other team could offer.

Team president Kevin Pritchard said in his introductory press conference told reporters George wanted to sign long-term but that he wanted to play for a contender. He enters the final year of his contract this upcoming season.
