Paul George Hits Late Jumper, Lifts Pacers Over Jazz

Last updated on Tuesday, March 21, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Pacers squared off with the Utah Jazz last night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Both teams combined for a good number of High School basketball players from the State of Indian. Pacers point guard and Pike High School alum Jeff Teague stepped up in a big way dropping 21 points when Pacers superstar Paul George seemed to be having a slow shooting night.

Another Indiana basketball household name for Utah named Gordon Hayward was lighting it up from the field all night. Hayward finished with a career high 38 points.

The game went down to the wire and suddenly the Paul George went from average to all-star in a matter of moments. With 18 seconds left George was guarded by Hayward at the top of the key. PG took a few dribbles, faded away and hit a crucial jump shot to put Pacers up by 5 and keep the game out of reach.

Indiana went on to win 107-100. This win positions the Pacers one game closer to the fifth playoff spot in the East. Indiana will need to turn it on early when they visit Brad Stephens and the Boston Celtics tomorrow night.
