(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts Chris Ballard continued making moves to improve the Indianapolis defensive unit this past weekend.
While the theme of the new GM has been letting veterans go, Ballard and the Colts organization actually signed experienced secondary member Darius Butler to a one year contract. Butler provides leadership and a strong knowledge of the Colts defensive scheme.
Despite lining up at corner last year, Butler says he'll be positioned on the Colts roster as a Saftey this fall.
Another transaction made on the Colts defense unit is the signing of inside linebacker Sean Spence. The Colts and their new backer agreed to a one year contract worth three million dollars. Spence was originally drafted out of Miami (FL) by the Steelers in 2012 and most made his biggest impact with the Titans last season.
