(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Reports over the weekend said Colts owner Jim Irsay did fly down to Houston to court Jon Gruden ahead of the college football national championship last week.
Gruden reportedly turned down the gig and denied he spoke to Irsay at all.
"I know nothing. I've told people I'm not coaching. I'm a broadcaster, not a coach."
The news continues to swirl as Irsay hasn't made any public comments about the futures of Chuck Pagano or Ryan Grigson and the Gruden reports were coupled with rumors that the Colts owner wanted to pair the Monday Night Football broadcaster with Peyton Manning in a front-office role, as reported by FOX Sports' Jay Glazer.
