Andrew Luck Named Third Alternate For Pro Bowl Behind Alex Smith

Last updated on Wednesday, January 18, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and not Andrew Luck got the nod to the Pro Bowl, filling in for injured Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr.

Luck is the AFC's third alternate, despite throwing 16 more touchdowns than Smith in the regular season.

Meanwhile, Pat McAfee will not participate in the event as he's set to undergo knee surgery, leaving T.Y. Hilton as the lone Colts representative. McAfee has been replaced by Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt.
