Pelicans Slip Past Pacers, 102-95

Last updated on Friday, December 16, 2016

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Pacers road trip suffered another flat tire as they fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 102-95.

Indiana, for the second straight game, had a lead heading into the fourth quarter and failed to close it out. An Anthony Davis dunk and foul resulted in a three-point play that turned the game to New Orleans' favor.

"We've got to be able to do it on both ends of the floor in the fourth quarter," Nate McMillan said after the game. "Defense didn't hold. Offense, when we did have open looks, we didn't knock down shots."

Davis led the Pels with 35 points and 16 rebounds while Buddy Hield has 21 points.

For the Pacers, Myles Turner led with 26 points and eight rebounds while Jeff Teague had a 21 point and 10 assist double-double.

The Blue & Gold will look to avoid a three-game skid when they wrap up their three-game road trip on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.
