(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Tom Allen and the Indiana Hoosiers heard their name called during the bowl selection process on Sunday.
IU will meet the No. 23 Utah Utes in the Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara, California on December 28th in Levi's Stadium.
"These past few days have been a whirlwind," newly-named head coach Allen said.
When asked about what he knew about the team they'll be facing, Allen was refreshingly honest.
"Absolutely nothing. I don't know that I've ever seen them play this year."
The Hoosiers finished with a 6-6 record and were 4-5 in Big Ten conference play.
