Last updated on Thursday, October 27, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Myles Turner and the Pacers opened their season with a thrilling 130-121 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Tuner led the Blue & Gold with a game-high 30 points and 16 rebounds. He also added four blocks, two steals and an assist.

Turner, a Dallas native, said it was fun a night.

"It was cool to go out like that against my hometown team. After the final buzzer sounded, everything hit me. It was just like, 'Wow, I just did that."

All five starters for the Pacers had double-digits in points with Paul George scoring 25 and Jeff Teague adding 20 while Monta Ellis and Thaddeus Young had 19 and 11, respectively. As a team, the Pacers shot just over 50 percent from the field and hit 52.6 percent from beyond-the-arc.

The Pacers hit the road for the first time on Friday when they visit the Brooklyn Nets.
