Colts Release Antonio Cromartie And Sio Moore

Last updated on Wednesday, October 5, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts announced they released cornerback Antonio Cromartie and waived linebacker Sio Moore on Tuesday.

Cromartie was a late addition to the roster ahead of the season due to injuries but struggled in coverage while Moore was the team's leading tackler but dealt with inconsistency. The team promoted rookie linebacker Trevor Bates from the practice squad.

Meanwhile, former Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne sounded off on the team's recent struggles on NFL Network, saying it all falls squarely on the front office.

"People want to blame Andrew Luck without looking at the big problem, which, in my opinion, is the front office. Look at some of the decisions they have made. Bjoern Werner is not even in the league. Khaled Holmes, he came and went. And don't forget the trade for Trent Richardson. They gave up a first-round pick on a guy that gave them nothing and is also out of the league. They throw money at people that don't give them anything."
