(RIO DE JANEIRO) - Paul George scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as Team USA rebounded from a slow start to thrash Venezuela 113-69.

Team USA found themselves locked in an 18-18 tie with Venezuela after the first quarter before exploding for a 24-4 run in the second quarter.

George led five U.S. players in double-digit scoring, going 6-for-7 from the field and hitting 3-for-4 from three-point range.

"I thought we did a good job offensively getting into a rhythm," PG-13 said. "What changed this game was the steal by , Kyrie came down and kicked it out for a three. That really ignited us on the bench. That was the turn of events in the game."

George and the rest of the bench totaled 70 points in the game and Team USA tied a men's Olympic record by hitting 32-of 38 free throws.

Team USA returns to action on Wednesday when they take on Australia.
