Colts Cut 10 Players, Sign RB Stevan Ridley

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts have cut 10 players from their 90 man roster.

Guys that were let go include wide receiver Justin Berger, safety Alden Darby, guard Eric Herman, defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, tight end Mike Miller, running back Chase Price, cornerback Winston Rose, defensive end Delvon Simmons, wide receiver Josh Stangby and inside linebacker Junior Sylvestre.

The Colts have until 4pm on Tuesday to reach the league-mandated 75 man roster. The final cut deadline is Saturday at 4pm in which the roster will then shrink to 53 players.

The Colts have signed NFL veteran running back Stevan Ridley. The 5-year vet spent his first 4 years with the New England Patriots before playing his solo year last season with the New York Jets. Ridley was released by the Detroit Lions on Thursday.

The running back has rushed for 2,907 yards and has scored 22 touchdowns. Ridley's best season was in 2012 when he ran for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The 27-year-old is coming off of a season with the Jets in which he ran for 90 yards in 8 games. Ridley tore his ACL in 2014 while with the Patriots.
