Teague On Joining Pacers: "This Is Home"

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Pacers formally introduced Jeff Teague to the media on Monday.

Teague was acquired via a three-way trade between Indiana, Atlanta and Utah that sent George Hill to the Jazz and the No. 12 overall pick in this year's draft to the Hawks.

Teague, an Indianapolis native that has a "317" area-code tattoo on his arm said it felt good to be home.

"I'm happy to be here. This is home. I've always wanted to play here and I think I can come in here and help."

Meanwhile, the Pacers officially announced the contract signing of second-round pick Georges Niang on Monday. The 6-8 forward was the 50th overall pick in this year's draft and averaged 20.5 points and 6.2 rebounds during his senior year at Iowa State.

Niang played for the Pacers' summer league team and averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game during the five-game schedule.
