(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Pacers’ Myles Turner was named to the 2016 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team on Tuesday.
The Select Team will train with the national team in Las Vegas from July 18-21 in preparation for the Rio Olympics.
Turner said he was thrilled to be selected.
"It's an incredible honor I've always wanted to represent my country. I got the chance to do it in high school with the U-18 team. This is just a stepping stone to make it to the next level and I'm excited for the opportunity."
Joining Turner, a pair of former Indiana Mr. Basketball selections in former Hoosiers (and current Hornets) forward Cody Zeller and Hamilton Southeastern alum (and current Nuggets) guard Gary Harris.
