Paul George Scores 41 Points At All-Star Game

Last updated on Monday, February 15, 2016

(TORONTO, CAN) - A big night for Paul George at the NBA All-Star Game as he led all scorers with 41 points, falling one point shy of tying Wilt Chamberlain’s all-time scoring record in the All-Star game.

PG-13 had the most 3-point field goals ever in the game with 9. It wasn't enough as the West still rolled past the East 196-173 and the Thunder's Russell Westbrook won his second consecutive All-Star Game MVP. Westbrook finished with 31 points and eight rebounds.

George said the MVP award would have been nice but it was all about the experience and the journey that got him there.

"I had a hard fought rehab. It was an uphill climb. It took every moment of rehab to get through it but I stuck with it. For me to be here and be back here as an All-Star is special. And to be able to be here, put on a show, have fun, enjoy this moment and get back to playing the way I was pre-injury is special."
