Irsay Confident Luck Will Sign Extension

Last updated on Monday, January 11, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts owner Jim Irsay says he has no doubts about Andrew Luck’s future in Indianapolis.

Speaking to the Indy Star, Irsay said he believes both sides will agree on a contract extension soon.

"If we don't get an agreement, we still have time. And he is going to be signed. There's a reasonably good chance we can come to that agreement this offseason. He will be here, trust me."

The Colts have already picked up Luck's option for 2016.

Irsay also said he wants to see improved play from the offensive line next season.

"We want some leadership. When we had Jeff Saturday and Tarik Glenn, the mantra was, 'No one touches 18! His jersey doesn't get a spot of dirt on it!' It was the pride of the building. We have to get back to that."
