Colts Part Ways With Four Coaches

Last updated on Wednesday, January 6, 2016

(Indianapolis, IN) - A day after retaining Chuck Pagano and Ryan Grigson the Colts parted ways with four coaches, including defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.

Tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts and secondary coaches Mike Gillhamer and Roy Anderson were also let go. The defensive unit under Manusky finished near the bottom in nearly every statistical category, including 26th in total defense.

Meanwhile, conflicting reports came out Tuesday regarding the Colts interest in New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Rumors of the team negotiating with Payton's representatives while meeting with Pagano were reported but NFL Insider Jason La Confora and others reported there was no such contact with the Colts and Payton and said Irsay's decision to re-sign Chuck Pagano had nothing to do with Sean Payton whatsoever.
