Pagano: Hasselbeck Will Sit When Luck's Healthy

Last updated on Tuesday, December 1, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - The inevitable question of whether the team should ride Matt Hasselbeck’s hot hand or give the reigns back to Andrew Luck when he’s healthy came up.

With Matt Hasselbeck playing at a high-level and the Colts 4-0 when he's under center, Chuck Pagnao made it very clear where the team is heading.

"It's ludicrous. Andrew is our starting quarterback. Once he's cleared by the doctors and the staff and 100 percent healthy he will be back under center for us."

The Colts placed running back Ahmad Bradshaw on season-ending IR for the third straight year. Bradshaw suffered a wrist injury in Sunday's game against Tampa. Bradshaw has played in just 17 games over his three seasons with Indianapolis.

The Colts re-signed Zurlon Tipton to replace Bradshaw.

When asked how Frank Gore was handling the season grind, Pagano said the veteran back was "beat to crap, but will be ready for Sunday night."

The team also announced that linebacker Jerrell Freeman is week-to-week with a hamstring injury.
