Houston Scores First Win In Indianapolis

Last updated on Monday, December 21, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts controlled their playoff destiny heading into Sunday and once it ended they likely saw their playoff hopes come to an end with a 16-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

Houston lost starting quarterback T.J. Yates to a torn ACL and Cowboys castoff Brandon Weeden shined in his place, throwing for 105 yards and a touchdown.

The Texans were 0-13 all-time in Indianapolis.

Matt Hasselbeck continued to be on the receiving end of punishment, leaving briefly in the fourth quarter with what he called a jaw injury.

The veteran QB said after the game that he was running on fumes.

"Today, I've got nothing left. As far as next week, I don't know it depends how the week goes on. I don't want to speculate."

After the game, Chuck Pagano said despite the loss the team still has a shot at the postseason.

"It's never over until you let it be over. We have to win our next two to have a chance and that's what we're focused on."

In the past three games, the Colts have been outscored by their opponents in the second half 76-3. The Colts need to win their last two games and the Texans have to lose their last two for Indianapolis to make the playoffs.
