IU Bounces Back With 83-73 Win Over St. John's

Last updated on Wednesday, November 25, 2015

(Maui, Hawaii) - After losing to unranked Wake Forest in their first game of the Maui Invitational on Monday, the Indiana Hoosiers rebounded with an 83-73 victory over St. John’s.

Senior Yogi Ferrell was the top-scorer for the Hoosiers finishing with 22 points.

Ferrell said his team was happy to have the opportunity to play today.

"We were upset with the loss yesterday, but we looked at this as another opportunity for us to go out and show everybody what we're made of, and I felt like we did that today," said Ferrell.

Ferrell led the team in scoring, but freshmen Thomas Bryant was the story as he finished his fifth collegiate game with a career-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

Following Tuesday's victory, the Hoosiers will play UNLV for fifth place today at 5:00 p.m.

Indiana is now 4-1 on the season.
