Colts Claim Boom Herron Off Waivers

Last updated on Friday, November 27, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - A familiar face is back with the Colts. Boom Herron was claimed off waivers by the Colts yesterday after he was cut by the Buffalo Bills where he only played four games.

The Colts waived Herron prior to their opening game this season on September 11th. Herron played in Indianapolis for the last two seasons and started all three playoff games for them last year rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Zurlon Tipton was waived to make room on the roster for Herron. Tipton had appeared in seven games for the Colts this season but only rushed for nine yards on two rushing attempts.

At practice on Thursday, safety Mike Adams did not particpate for the second day in-a-row, as well as outside linebacker Erik Walden. Adams missed last Sunday's game in Atlanta with an ankle injury.

Greg Toler missed Thursday's practice while nursing a groin injury, but he did go through a full practice on Wednesday.
