Aqib Talib Suspended One Game For Poking Colts TE In The Eye

Last updated on Tuesday, November 10, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - The NFL has suspended Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib for one game without pay after poking the Colts’ Dwayne Allen in the eye during Sunday’s game.

Chuck Pagano and Allen both talked about the incident on Monday.

"I'm really proud of our guys for keeping their composure right there, Dwayne not doing anything, his teammates pulling him away. It's a physical game and unfortunately stuff like that sometimes happens."

Allen said the eye is feeling better.

"It's just sore. Looking back on the play, those guys have a heck of a team, Aqib Talib is a heck of a football player, he just didn't need to do that."

The Colts' defense took a blow on Monday as the team played rookie defensive end Henry Anderson on season-ending IR with a knee injury. Chuck Pagano says the team will go with a rotation of Zach Kerr, Billy Winn and T.Y. McGill to fill his place.
