Colts, Bears Make Productive Work Out Of Joint Practice

Last updated on Friday, August 21, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts and Bears wrapped up the final day of their joint practice sessions on Thursday and Andrew Luck thinks the last two days were beneficial and will pay off down the line.

"It was great getting to go against their guys, see different schemes and situations. I think it was a great measuring stick and both teams were respectful and took care of each other. I think it will be extremely beneficial down the line."

The last time the Colts and Bears faced each other was the first game of Luck's NFL career, something he reflected on after Thursday's practice.

"Some of us were talking about that and I'd like to think I've grown, mentally, physically, emotionally. I think I have a better understanding of what it takes to be an NFL quarterback. Having all the experience of the last three years is beneficial."

Meanwhile, Chuck Pagano said the short traveling distance for both teams has him wanting to do it again next season.

"It makes too much sense to me, being 2 1/2 hours or whatever it is, it's too close not to do it. It's something we would like to continue to do."
